About Jeff Bursey |
I was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, and attended Memorial University of Newfoundland. In 1989, while working in London, England, in the garment industry, I received my MA (MUN). In 2000 I moved to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. After returning to St. John's in the fall of 1989, I worked in radio as an announcer and as a copy writer before becoming a transcriber, and then an editor, in the Hansard division of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Since moving to Charlottetown, I have done freelance writing and editing work. As well, I am a Commissioner of Oaths (conducting Exhibits of Discoveries, transcribing court cases, preparing reports) for a private transcribing service. I’ve written three plays, three novels and a collection of short stories, none of which have yet been published, though some have won prizes. Reviews and papers have been published or presented, or are soon to be published. For more about my writing, please see an imaginary interview. |
